Shangri-la Mactan Upgrades to ieHIP® Digital Signage V3.
Cebu City, Philippines -- The Philippine's premier five-star resort,
Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa has upgraded its currently-installed
digital signages with A5TEK’s latest version of ieHIP® Digital Signage-
the ieHIP® Digital Signage V3. Previously, Shangri-la Mactan deployed
the precursor of V3 -- ieHIP® Digital Signage V2.0 -- last year, which
made Shangri-la the first resort in the Philippines to adopt networked
digital signages to further enhance its
services to its guests.
The upgrade was made to provide easier management and flexibility to
the growing volume of contents the resort needs to pump to guests and
customers across the hotel on a regular basis. “The current installation
is a complete breath of fresh air. We reduce dramatically the amount of (human)
intervention to manage a digital signage network yet we bring a more dynamic display
of contents in each of the digital signages installed at the hotel.” says Francis Dy,

company in the Philippines.

The latest release provides Shangri-la Mactan the ease to play contents
by schedule allowing resort staff to be able to plan what to play for the
next couple of days or weeks.
ieHIP® Digital Signage V3 is also capable of displaying multiple
high definition contents which A5COM sees as another opportunity for hotels
like Shangri-la Mactan to explore in combination with their ads. “We are
excited to see the quick evolution of our software. We redefine what dynamic
display or rich media is all about. And we imagine how digital signages can be
further enhanced in terms of viewing experience.” says Dy.
Aside play schedule and high definition capabilities, ieHIP® Digital Signage
V3 features among others customizable screen layout, ability to display RSS
feeds, instant messaging, and connectivity to live
internet and TV broadcasts.
