A5TRX and RMNI rolls out another digital signage at Cebu port

Cebu City, Philippines - With the success of its initial digital signage deployment in Ayala Center Cebu, the Philippine's most popular shopping destination in the southern hemisphere, A5TRX Corp and Rich Media Network Inc (RMNI) have again embarked on another installation this time on a public space - the Cebu port.

The port of Cebu is the Philippines major leg in the transport chain with passenger traffic coming from central Philippines to the rest of the archipelago.

A5TRX President Francis Dy who also represents RMNI says that "the new rollout is definitely a boost to our existing [installation] inventories that will also widen the exposure of our advertisers to non-mall markets."

The digital signage setup initially consists of two ieHIP® Digital Signage clients located inside the waiting terminal for Bohol-destined ferries over a 32" LCD digital display and another installation to follow inside Supercat Terminal where passengers bound for eastern Visayas normally congregate. All of the stations will be managed by A5TRX using its ieHIP® Digital Signage Server.

Passenger traffic at Cebu's baseport averages at 1 million per month or 30,000 passengers daily according to the Cebu Port Authority.

Aside passengers, visitors also flood the port to meet or fetch outgoing or arriving passengers "which translate to more eyeballs for our digital signage." adds Dy.

A5TEK President Ted Lee says that the port rollout in Cebu “only proves that the digital signage market in the Philippines is gaining a good momentum.”

Lee also revealed that part of A5TEK's strategy in the Philippines is to encourage existing consortium to invest in "key installation points" to establish their market lead, sell advertising inventories fast and recover investments quickly.

A5TEK's Philippine affiliate A5TRX early this year formed a consortium with Rich-Media Network Inc to pursue a nationwide rollout of A5TEK's ieHIP® Digital Signage suite through opening up of different digital signage networks in retail and public spaces.

Another anticipated digital signage deployment will be at the Mactan Cebu International Airport which is said to a series of digital signage displays at the check-in counters.
